The 246 sheet-sized, double-sided colour illustrations show impressive photographs taken during a helicopter trip over Africa. The velour cover of the book and the box is reminiscent of an animal fur in appearance and feel.

Michael Poliza was born in Hamburg in 1958. He studied computer science and founded an IT company with which he had great success. After a personal crisis he sold the company in 1997 to circumnavigate the world on his own ship and to draw attention to the threat to ecosystems. In the year 2000 he discovered photography for himself, with which he documents his travels since then.
